Villardi
Consulting specializes in corporate social responsibility and socially
responsible investment consultancy. It was set up in 2005 and is currently
based in Singapore. The Director is Marina Martin Curran PhD. Villardi
Consulting has the capacity to undertake a wide range of projects –
from CSR and SRI research, to in-house consulting on CSR issues, training,
preparation of sustainability reports and other communication tools. Villardi
Consulting can also undertake impact assessments of international development
programmes and provide frameworks for monitoring and evaluating such programmes.
About
Marina Martin Curran
Marina
is a specialist in CSR, having gained a PhD in CSR in 2005 from the
University of Edinburgh. Her particular areas of competence include
CSR and the link with financial performance, Socially Responsible Investment
research, and the link between intangible assets such as reputation
and CSR.
Marina has worked on a number of CSR initiatives in the UK, USA and
Singapore and has undertaken projects for government agencies such DFID
and international NGOs such as Vetaid and the IDPT. Among numerous projects
an example is socially responsible investment research for Calvert Inc.,
a major US asset manager, another is conducting a systematic review
of the literature pertaining to the relationship between CSR and financial
performance (published in the New Academy Review). She has also conducted
econometric analyses of the relationship between CSR and financial performance
and a study of the intangible benefits of CSR. She has co-ordinated
projects from proposal to practical research including managing CSR
implementation budgets. Marina has conducted questionnaire surveys,
and has experience of randomisation, sampling, and statistical analyses
of survey results. She has a thorough understanding of the methods of
the Cochrane Collaboration having conducted a systematic review.
